   I bought this because a friend has this exact set and the wooden racks in her set are very nice. The wooden racks that came with my set are not nearly as nice; the wood is much lighter and cheaper, the finish is rougher, and the design is not as stable as her set. The racks don’t lean back far enough to keep them steady, so they do fall over at the slightest touch. Though my friend and I have the exact same set, the quality is very different. Beware! You may or may not get good quality. The tiles and the case are OK, though. Also, the rules with this game are different than the original Pressman Rummikub game.

   I was replacing my Rummikub set because the the paint had worn off many of the tiles (after less than a year of use). While this set not billed as Rummikub it is effectively the same game.. These tiles are great–a little bit larger and the numbers are etched into the face of the tile so the paint should not wear off. The case is nice but the wooden racks are very cheaply made, hold only two rows of tiles and are virtually unusable. I threw them out and am using the old plastic racks from my original game with the new tiles. The old plastic racks of course don’t fit in the new case so I don’t use that either. All in all this is an expensive way to get much better quality tiles. That being said I don’t think any of the other Rummikub sets have tiles that are etched—the numbers are just painted on and wear off easily. Despite the fact that I don’t use the racks or case, this purchase should be worth it in the long run. Otherwise I’d have to buy a new Rummikub game every year or so to replace the tiles.

   Nice quality stands coming with this, we get compliments on this set a lot. Hard to find a set without flimsy plastic stands. The case is nice too.

   I PAID for the deluxe game and received the standard one with no diamonds , spades etc. and had 11,12,13 instead of Jack, Queen, King.

   Arrived in stellar time! Great game we played and fell in love with before buying on kidzgeek.com. Racks seem very sturdy, made of a dense wood product (practical board). Plastic tiles are similar to others I’ve seen. Case looks great and works well despite a small aesthetic issue (material covering box doesn’t meet or stick down completely at a corner). I think a little glue will solve this problem. Elastic holds racks in place inside case.

   Beautiful set! This is a Rummy Tile set, not Rummikub but it is made so much better…I LOVE the quality! The tiles are heavy and thick and the colors are bright and easy to tell the difference between the orange and red and also the blue and black. The racks hold more tiles than the Rummikub set and are sturdy. We especially like that they hide all your tiles. We play Rummikub with this set ~ the only difference is the two wild tiles have stars on them instead of the Rummikub face and there are two extra blank tiles which we don’t use. We use the case to shake and mix up the tiles and then each player opens the case and without looking draws their tiles. I also like the fact that the tiles have a resin coating covering the whole tile including the color which should help from fading and wearing off. The only negative I have with this set is that it came with a slit cut thru the vinyl coating on the case. Other people have had this problem also. We just took some super glue and glued it back so it wouldn’t tear further.

   What arrived did not match the photo at all. The racks are very flimsy. I have played this game in the past (old set that looked like the on in the photo), and the racks were well made and did not tip. For this one, we have to prop the racks up against something in order to keep them from falling. The also are thin and appear cheaply made. The wood is unfinished with splinters coming out. Don’t recommend it, there are others here to buy.

    I have had a set of rummy tiles for over 30 years. I bought my second set for my grand daughter, age 7, mainly as a thinking game. Turns out the whole family loves to play. When there is a party the tiles are set up for anyone to join in at any time. Great way to meet new people. My third set I brought for my 42 year old son, who now has game night once a week for all his friends. Again, this is one of the most popular game. My original set is much heavier and each tile is more decorative but sadly they don’t make it anymore. This one is the best out there.

    The tiles are great. Feel nice. The trays to hold the tiles during the game are cheap wood and the hinge on all of them gives way when you grab tiles off of it to place on into the game. Frustrating to scatter all your tiles during the game by accident cause the trays aren’t stable. The case is cheap and is already falling apart after less than a week.

    I just received the three games I ordered as gifts for our grown children. The box is well made, the latches and hinges work well. The tiles are up to par with the old set we use at home, heavy tiles with easy to read embossed print numbers. The best feature are the tile holders. Made of wood with a hinged piece on the back that keeps it upright. Much more stable than the plastic original ones with the legs that easily come lose. I would purchase them again!
