- At MTG Decks & More we have a combined 50+ years experience building and playing decks from standard to modern to commander (and more!) at both a competitive and casual level. We build powerful, fun decks. For sale is a 60 card custom Magic the Gathering golgari (black/green) squirrel deck.
- This deck is an absolute blast to play. The deck focuses on quickly summoning a large army of squirrel creatures and using the forage mechanic as a value engine to overwhelm your opponent. The deck starts by casting efficiently-costed creatures with strong secondary abilities including Thornvault Forrager (ramp, squirrel fetch), Osteomancer Adept (deathtouch, reanimate), Valley Rotcaller (menace, drain), Vinereap Mentor (food tokens), Bonecache Overseer (draw).
- The deck then curves into midgame threats including the incredibly powerful Camellia (menace, summons squirrel tokens, adds +1/+1 counters to your entire army), Curious Forrager (returns a permanent from the graveyard), Honored Dreyleader (+1/+1 counters), and Corpseberry Cultivator (+1/+1 counters).
- The deck then adds a number of utility spells, many of which will also create food tokens to fuel your forraging. This includes Scavenger’s Talent (food tokens, mill, reanimate), Savor (removal, food tokens), Pawpatch formation (removal, card draw, food tokens), and Cache Grab (mill, food tokens, return a permanent from the graveyard). This deck can generate massive value and quickly overrun your opponent wirth a huge squirrel army.
