   Love the game. It is made high quality. Simple game overall, like most game shows/ Endless Game Brand games, but I’d recommend. I especially like the cue cards that are numbered like giant game cards in which the host reads off the cards looking exactly like on the show. The board is two sided and is designed well. The bonus round resembles the new game, so it doesn’t have the different levels of money given, which would be my only complaint, but it’s a small complaint.

   The game includes everything from the ABC game except for the gold money cards. Great version of the classic game show since CBS and NBC versions did not have Big Bet chips.

   We love playing this fun game for family game night. It’s nostalgic for me since I loved watching the show as a child. I would appreciate it more of it did not feature the current host’s picture on the front of the box. But this does not deter us from enjoying the product.

   The reviews I gave it three stars not because of the seller the seller was fantastic I got it on time was brand new no damage perfect the only issue I have is after playing the game I felt it was not worth the money I spent for it that’s the only thing this is a game it’s very easy and simple to play but it should cost $29.99, the price that they’re asking $49.99 that’s not worth it, that’s just my opinion.

   My husband and I enjoy Card Sharks (actually the original from the 1970’s) and wanted this game for the two of us to play together. The box says three or more people, since one is supposed to read the questions and flip the cards, but we just use a file folder to hide the question/answer card and pull up slowly to reveal only one question at a time and alternate who answers first. It has worked for us very simply, and was fun to play, just like the television show.

   I received this game specifically to write a review. That said, I try to be honest and open in all my reviews. (Please see the enclosed picture.) Summary: The Card Sharks Game is a game for three or more players (with more than three players, you form teams) that will last about 30-45 minutes. There is nothing objectionable in the game, but just from a general knowledge standpoint, it is probably best as an age 14+ game. Each team deals out seven cards face down, and the game begins. One player does not compete, he or she is the game host and will ask questions. All the questions are of the form, “100 _____ were asked ______, how many said _______ ?” The lead player gives a number, and then the other player or team guesses, higher or lower. If the guess is correct, that player or team takes a turn doing “high/low” on the seven cards. If the guess is wrong, the player or team guessing the number takes its turn doing the high/low sub-game. The first team to turn over all seven cards guessing high/low correctly at each turn wins that round. There are three rounds. During the high/low game, the first card for the team is turned over. That team can elect to replace that card with another from the deck. The team has to accept a replacement card. Then, the team has to guess whether the next card is higher or lower. If the team guesses right, they guess whether the card following is higher/lower. After guessing correctly, the team has the option of “freezing” its progress and passing control to other team, who then goes through high/low sub-game. If the team guesses wrong or the card *matches* the next card then the team must clear its side of the board, deal seven new cards face down, and control passes to the other team. The game will not go on indefinitely. After the fifth wrong guess, the game enters a “sudden death” phase. The first team to make a mistake forfeits the game to the opposing team. The high/low sub-game occurs three times. The first winner gets $1000. The second winner gets $2000, and during the final/third round, the winner gets $3000. Then the game proceeds to the money round. The game proceeds just as the high/low sub-game goes, but the player has to bet at least half of his or her bank on each turn of the card. Before turning over the seventh card, the player can decide to not risk the pot and take their winnings. On to the Dr Games’ Criteria … GO/NO GO Criterion • Complexity: (GO) The game is not complex. There are some nuances, but individual decisions are not complex, and the game is well structured. • Balanced: (GO ) The game is completely balanced. • Chance (GO) The game is a perfect balance of chance and skill. There is a lot of chance in this game, but everyone knows that going into the game. • Clarity: (GO) The rules are not very clear. They do explain how the game works, but the game assumes that the players have seen the TV version of the game or have seen the game played before. Honestly, I had to watch some on-line videos to figure it out. After seeing some demo games and watching the original game on TV, I was able to puzzle out the rules. • Reasonable Time: (GO) The game takes between 30-45 minutes. Bonus Criteria • Social: There is not a specific rule on social interaction, but the nature of the game leads to various people helping and cheers and boos depending on the outcomes of the guesses. • Unique/Interesting Mechanics: The game is based on the TV game-show. There are no unique, non-game-show mechanics. • Informed: It does teach people about probabilities. • Rewards Throughout: Money gained from each round is yours to keep.

   Everything in this home edition of Card Sharks is exciting and exactly like the tv show hosted by Joel Mchale.
   I don’t have to wait for a new season of the show to begin.I can now Play the classic high or low guessing card game anytime I want.

    We enjoyed it. We played as teams (boys vs. girls) and there was lots of discussion among team members. Interesting to hear different perspectives and debate your opinion before agreeing on your “final” guess.
