   Im an avid MTG player, and fan, the fact that they don’t include instructions on how to play. It’s certainly design for those who already know how to play the game. I don’t know if you can justify the price though. None the less. I introduced my 10yr old son, 7yr old daugther, and 13yr old Homestay child to magic, and we had a good time playing it. Only if you know how to play MTG, should you invest into this.

   4 really nice thematic tribal decks to teach friends, kids, or neighbors magic the gathering. The decks are pirates, vampires, dinosaurs, and merfolk; what’s not to love!? The add-on island tiles are a nice light game mechanic that you can play with or simply not use. However, the kids really enjoy the island tiles, and the concept of searching the island for the golden city. If you find the golden city tile later in the game, you get to wreck the other players with it, forcing them to gang up against you; a fun mechanic which usually causes the game to end shortly after. The decks have some cards in them specific to multi-player mtg games which is well thought out. This is a great entry point if you want to learn how to play magic the gathering.

   Bought as a birthday gift. Gave today, opened sealed box and found cards are stuck together as if glued. Impossible to separate without damage. Unplayable.

   Love this, wish I could play it everyday. Decks are a little basic but have a lot of variety between them and have cards specifically oriented for multiplayer games. The pirate deck might be the strongest as in the last two games two different people played it and won and the second time the player was brand new to the game.
   What makes this game awesome is the exploration mechanic. When you’re deciding your starting hand and it’s sub optimal, always favor lands over spells. With exploring, even if you don’t have a spell to cast, you can still explore and many of the tiles are really good benefits, and some will force action instead of an arms race common to multiplayer games. Absolutely buy this, totally worth the price.

   It was exciting when the package arrived on time. Go home couldn’t wait to play it when the box was opened there was a horrid mildew smell that just won’t go away.

   This is a fun way to play Magic! It’s like adding vanguards to the game. The box is sturdy and the pieces are fun. The only thing I would change is to include count down dice with each deck and to have actual figures instead of the small round pieces for each deck. Also, I will definitely say this is not for people that don’t know how to play magic. There are no game play instructions, but really, if you have never played magic before why would you buy this game? I am hoping for expansions in the future!!

   Not necessarily the best value for money when it comes to buying M:tG cards, but this actually makes a nice boxed set ‘board game’ of Magic.

   Possibly a good option for people who don’t want to buy into the whole ‘collecting’ part of Magic the Gathering, but just want a board game they can pull off the shelf and play.

   Game play is a fun new level to magic the gathering. However Wotc severely dropped the ball on this game, and customer support was more sarcastic than helpfull. GAME IS NOT PLAYABLE RIGHT OUT OF BOX! It doesn’t come with life counters. Also the deck boxes are just over 3x to large for the decks, Wotc customer support told me if I wanted the decks to fit in the deck boxes I would have to buy sleeves for the cards. The scout tokens are also the same size as the +1/+1 tokens along with being flat make it hard to move the scout. If they would have included 4 miniatures from there D&D game (they already have figures that would work for each scout) it would have NOT only solved this problem but have made gameplay easier!

    This is not for beginner Magic players. More for experienced players wanting to up their game. It’s like Magic the Gathering and Settlers of Catan had a child, beautiful!     Great game. If you are new to Magic: The Gathering this a great place to start. If you are seasoned Planeswalker this is fun with all the extra components. The only thing missing is the spinddown life counters (D20). That is why this is not a five star review. Everything you need in a cool box to start your search for the golden city of Orazca while defeating your opponents except the twenty sided dice. For those new to MTG the D20 is how you keep track of your health during a game. Keep on playing.
