I got this literally for the Vito foil and a few others specifically because I used them in Arena so much. These decks come with a Magic the Gathering Arena code so you can redeem digital versions of the deck to use. The entire deck is out of standard and cannot be used in competition that involves Standard 2022. This is purely to teach and learn.

Got this pack to help teach my friend how to play Magic: The Gathering. Upon looking through the cards and testing them out, the green deck is a pretty straight-forward and easy deck to learn from. The black deck however is actually atrocious. After playing several games I can’t find a single way the black deck as it came is remotely useful or even capable of winning a game of MTG. So if you already have some black cards I’d recommend switching some out with the black deck to make it more playable.

Having purchased a few of these dual pack starters recently. I must say these two decks are the some of the most functional and powerful of the bunch. Super fun, big win (both the purchase on playing with them).
Also quite easy to buff them up because of their functionality. Would recommend.
Only downside is the 2 main halo cards on display come pretty curved. This is due to how they are packed, otherwise top notch. Box includes instructions, reference card, and all the terms in a booklet.

If you are looking to get a self contained instantly playable game set then this pair of starter decks is the way to go. Out of the box the decks just worked and were fun to play. I was so impressed I got a second (different) pair so 4 of us could play the game together. For the price this is one of the best games around.
