   I’m not sure how much of this is accident or design. The metal counter is smooth metal that does spin. But the fact that part of it comes off very easily and the spinners usually just fly off if you’re not holding it tightly. I realize that it’s not a spinner device which means it can be used easily as a counter, but I really think for the price it would be stronger.

   I love the color, weight and feel. But it doesn’t have nedynium magnets as the picture and description states; It just free spins. I used it once and placed it in my omnihive box and the next day it was in pieces. It clearly was designed to use them but no magnets. I returned the first one and got a replacement. This one free spins as well. Absolutely no magnets. If this one doesn’t fall apart I will keep it for when I play on a solid table because it moves easily when bumped or wiggled.

   Wow, what a great life counter. It is metal, so it should last forever. It is large, chunky, and feels great in your hand. It looks amazing on the table. I use it for games in which I need to count down my character’s number of actions. The numbers are large and easy to read. I have an all plastic counter which works well but this one is cleaner looking and has a better table presence. I highly recommend adding this to your game accessories collection.

   There are no magnets and the 4 pieces aren’t connected in any way.

   It’s such a shame, because the product looks great, but doesn’t work without the magnets.

   it’s pretty and feels solid. EXCEPT the first one i ordered came in pieces. the second one—the replacement—also came in pieces. im honestly going to return this replacement and get my money back. i’m disappointed because i thought this would be perfect for my mtg-playing husband. can’t even push the pieces together; they just fall apart again.
