   Corellian Spike is a variation of sabacc that uses two six-sided dice. Han Solo won the Millennium Falcon from Lando Calrissian in a game of “Corellian Spike” sabacc. Solo kept the pair of golden dice from that game. Don’t fret if you feel this isn’t “accurate”. It is. Quality components. It’s no Pazaak, but it’ll do.

   The Good: I have tried multiple versions of this game which is based on the Sabaac concept from Star Wars. This one is the best. Easy to pick up and fun for adults and preteens.

   The Bad: The rewards. They are cardboard. Wish they had been plastic. Metallic gold ideally but at least plastic would’ve gave it a greater sense of value. The cards are a bit flimsy.

   The Ugly: Those oh so sweet moments when you get a match on the last roll forcing everyone to randomize and show their cards with a complete mess! It’s awesome.

   The Summary: Genuinely the best version of Sabaac I have played. The one from Galaxies Edge is much too complex, more difficult to read and comes with less accessories and cheaper die. Oh and it costs about 2 to 3 times as much. This version “Han Solo Card Game” is a better buy!

   According to “Solo: A Star Wars Story The Official Guide” there are more than 80 variants of Sabacc, one of which is Corellian Spike, and this is a simplified version of that variant. It is a really wonderful and very fun game. It’s easy to learn, fast moving and captures the essence of Corellian Spike. I find the shape and thickness of the cards much easier to shuffle than conventional card decks, so it’s very pleasant in that regard. If you are looking for the authentic cards and the authentic game, this might be a disappointment and you might have to look elsewhere, such as on therpf.com. Nevertheless, as a Sabacc variant, this game stands on its own and is very satisfying and a lot of fun to play.

   We’ve all waited years to play this game! Finally it’s here.

   Totally worth it!

   This game is a blast!

   It’s not as complicated as most versions of the game, but play it however you want. We played to +/-23 instead of 0 and that really is a challenge. We added poker chips. The three possible shifts makes it pointless to bet until the third round. The credit bars are unrealistic values, we treat them more like a lotto putting in one random bar in the pot per player. When all the bars are won the game is through.

   The weird shaped cards take some getting used to shuffling.

   This is now our goto game whenever we hang out.

   So the reviewers here seem to fall into two categories—big fans who want an exact sabaac game and casual fans who are looking for a fun Star Wars themed card game. We’re the latter. Got it for my 8 year old. The night it arrived we played with a 60 year old friend who had never even seen the movies or knew what the millennium falcon is. But we all had a great time playing. I don’t know or care if these are official Sabaac rules. My son liked it snd felt like he was Han Solo (or Lando). That’s enough for me.

    This game is SO fun!!!! They have slightly different rules for this version of the game than the actual Canon version in the movie. However, it is INCREDIBLY easy to adapt what they have in this version to reflect what they have in the film. If you are looking for an idea for a cheap, easy, and fun way to have a monthly Star Wars themed game night with some friends. Get yourself this game, toss on a han solo costume, pour some blue milk and have an awesome time!

    Pretty fun game, played a couple rounds of it at a family get-together today. We were not sure about a couple rules (can you take the millennium falcon from someone if no one has it yet? What if it happens at the same round? But we quickly established our rule and it was all good.
    Quick game, probably 10-15 minutes a game once we get a hold of it.
    I think if we have more than 4 players, we can simply dish out 4 awards per round so some players will end up with no awards, so we still get to go 6 rounds and that would be just fine.

    While not the original 72 card, 4 suit Sabacc some purists might prefer, this ‘Corellian Spike’ version IS canon, in both current and the expanded Legends universes, and well with your investment!
    Special Note for Cloud City Administrators: cards are easy to conceal up your sleeve.”
