   Theme decks are basically preconstructed decks to play the pokemon TCG with. They are intended to be used to learn to play the game, but they can just be fun to mess around with at times, doing theme deck only matches. They also come with everything you need to get started and some unique cracked ices variants of Mewtwo and Zeraora. Theme decks aren’t really viable in a competitive setting (Unless it’s restricted to theme decks), but they can still be worth checking out, especially if you want to get into the TCG.

   I’ve read so many reviews of buyers complaining about the amount of duplicate cards in the decks. The packaging states that this is intentional because it is meant to be a “starter” pack.

   Once you’ve gotten familiar with the Pokemon TCG rules, you can separate the decks and build your own. For the deck I use to play against my husband and friends, the cards from these decks are fantastic. Zeraora is one of the best electric type cards out there. I wish Mewtwo was a bit stronger but he is still the strongest of my psychic Pokemon.
