   I loved the original version of this game, published by Z-Man, and I am very pleased with this re-release. Most mystery-solving games come in two varieties: (1) they are not really using deduction but instead just random chance (i.e. Clue a.k.a. Cluedo), or (2) they are one-off games because there is no system for creating new mysteries to solve once the ones included have been played out. Tragedy Looper is not like that.

   In Tragedy Looper, genuine attentiveness and deduction are necessary in order to solve cases, carefully tracking who was present at the crimes and then piecing together likely culprits. Additionally, you can create your own cases using guidelines provided in the rules, so there is no limit to how many rounds you can enjoy, although in truth it would take a while to play through even the ones included here already.

   A slight issue: in the initial printing of this game at least, there were some minor typos I had to correct, but that was managable.
