Great addition to the office!!

The kidzgeek.com listing offered 5 different types of poly dice made of stone. I selected the "Red Watermelon Stone" because red watermelon stone is another name for the semi-precious gemstone tourmaline. So this review is just for that type of dice, and not the other options. It is a full set of seven poly-dice, including a d4, d6, d8, two d10s, a d12, and a d20. As with almost all modern poly-dice sets made today one of the d10s is for numbers 1-10 and the other is 10, 20, 30, etc. so you can roll both of them and get a random number from 1-100. They also come in a nice little padded tin. I was skeptical at first that these would be made of actual tourmaline, but they seem to be legit. They are certainly heavy enough to be made of actual stone rather than plastic or resin. As you can see from the second and third images the stone is a bit translucent and not uniform as an actual mineral specimen would be. A way to really know for sure would be to see if you can scratch glass with them. (Tourmaline is 7.0 - 7.5 on the Mohs hardness scale and so scratches glass easily.) But these dice do not have sharp points, so the only way to do that would be to smash one of them and use a shard to test it out. But there's no way I'm going to do that to a die from a $47 set. But in spite of not being able to test the hardness, I do believe that they are indeed tourmaline. And speaking of hardness, tourmaline is up there on the hardness scale, a bit harder than quartz. So these dice should be pretty durable. I do appreciate that the corners and edges are very slightly rounded. Some dice sets these days are deliberately made to have sharp points. But I find those dice to be irritating and uncomfortable to use (especially the d4). I'm glad that isn't a problem with these. Although these dice are translucent when held up to the light, they don't look that way when they're sitting on a table or being held in your hand (see 4th photo). This makes them easy to read when in use. But they do look like just another set of plastic or resin dice that way. If you want your gaming group to know how cool they are, you'll just have to brag about them. One thing I was hoping for was that one or more of the dice would have a bit of green on one side and red on the other. Natural tourmaline looks like this (which is why it's called "watermelon stone"). But the kidzgeek.com listing did say "RED watermelon stone," so I can't really complain. I have played with this dice set and they don't seem to be biased. Some fancy dice sets that I've seen which are transparent with little skulls or ducks or other funny things inside are probably not very random because the inclusions are of different density. But with solid stone the density isn't going to vary by much, so I assume that they're going to give good random results. The only way to really know is to roll each one about 1,000 times and check for statistical bias. But I have a lot of other things that I could do with my time so I'm not going to bother. Really the only negative here is the price. $47 for a single set of dice is steep. There are kidzgeek.com listings where you can get 15 full sets of poly dice in a big bag for $20 or $30. However, those inexpensive dice are plastic. The dice in THIS set are made of a semi-precious GEMSTONE! When you consider that tourmaline is used to make nice jewelry, and that a relatively large amount of it went into making these dice, you should realize that $47 is actually not expensive at all. If you are an RPG gamer, you absolutely do not *need* a set of fancy poly-dice made of a semi-precious gemstone. However, if you are an RPG gamer, you probably *want* a set of fancy poly-dice made of a semi-precious gemstone. Bob recommends.

2 of the 4 boxes showed clear signs of already being opened. The other 2 were resealed better but could be opened if I tried. It seems like they tried to use some sort of sticky double sided tape strips to reseal them. These boxes are 36.95 each at Target, so I expected there was a catch for a 4 box being only $65.

As many others have noticed these came broken. The chips were even open so it feels like it was a return that was sent back out. Unfortunately, it was a gift so it was opened after the return window.

These are awesome! They are very sturdy, from what I can tell waterproof and they came in a 2 pack! Perfect for games nights or single entertainment

I'm really upset! It's such a fun game. I know b/c I played it with family. I was so excited to get it. What in the h***! How am I supposed to shuffle these cards? They're all different sizes and there are duplicates! I really am angry at this!

These are so cool! At first I was surprised at how small the case is, so that is why I took a picture with it next to a gum drop. But the case itself is so convincingly retro and fun. The dice are packed pretty snugly into the foam holder, but they were really easy to pop back into place. And they are very pretty! If you are a dice enthusiast like me--for display as well as use--and you like a splash of cosmic color and '80s nostalgia, this dice set would be a great addition to your collection.

(Many items pictured in uploaded photos are my creation and / or from other parts of my collection and not included in the game) I've been playing fantasy role-playing games since the early years of D&D, and I've been publishing FRPG material for half that time. I am definitely not the intended audience for this product. That said, it impressed me with an elegant, approachable, easy-to-play design and sufficient depth to support a mini-campaign for those with a desire to take it more seriously than the occasional one-off session. While I very much felt the game was suitable for people new to role-playing, this review is more for those with FRPG experience and desire for a product with a little more meat than "baby's first role-playing experience". Also, keep in mind, I have not played their pre-written content. I created a custom adventure (from whence Winged Kitteh comes) for my family group. While relatively simple in design, I found the system lended itself very well to a cinematic, scene-to-scene style of play. I planned out each scene on simple cards, then flipped through them to run the game. Transitions between scenes were either narrated or implied, so we really only focused on the action bits. The result was fast paced and a great deal of fun for everyone. As such, I would recommend this to gamers of all experience levels. With a little bit of elbow grease (picture of my craft table as I plotted our adventure), even the bloodied veterans among us can have fun with it.

Package arrived perfectly sealed and in flawless condition. Included all 20 packs. The hit rate for these Japanese cards is insane! Some duplicates but not nearly as many as the English cards. All cards are perfectly centered. Most could easily achieve a psa 10 grade. I will definitely be buying more! Many thanks to the seller for providing a top notch product!

After playing a few times, the card is broken. After reading the customer evaluation, someone has the same situation. I wanted to exchange the product at first, after seeing the evaluation, I planned to return the product directly. Can this quality be sold?

The cards are of good quality given the price. Unfortunately, the whole box was shipped in an envelope and therefore the damage on the box and multiple decks of cards. kidzgeek.com won't offer partial refund but to ship back to get the refund or a replacement which could suffer the same problem. kidzgeek.com, why would you ship any paper product or books in envelopes?

I have to give this box 5 stars even though the box itself had a small dent. Not only did I get all the amazing promo cards, a beautiful mat, and a bomb ass figurine (and more); I had so many amazing pulls including 2 shining cards, 2 gx cards, and the secret rare mewtwo, which is legit the rarest card in the set and I got in on the second pack. Pictures can say a thousand words or something like that so let me let these pictures decide whether you should buy this gift from our true god, Arceus, or not...

I already bought quite a few products from heitok on kidzgeek.com and was not disappointed each time. That is why I decided to buy this new set and surprise someone close to me for Christmas. They are a poker lower so why not I thought. Poker set arrived in s clean black box with the company's logo. The briefcase was in perfect shape, no scratches or anything to worry about. Felt really proffesional too, heavy and just makes you badass. The chips feels very nice in the hand and the 2 card decks are awesome. You also get a dealer chip, just easier to track who is the dealer in the game. Overall, really great quality and my friends love it too. Would recommend to anyone and everyone. Merry Christmas

So I got this for my son. Who is a collector. Came quick, which was nice! But package was damaged! Opened from top back side. But from what I can see. Everything looks all here. So I gave it 4.5 stars. Since it delivered quick. Did have me wondering tho! What could be missing or switch out. But other than that! It’s great for the price. We can’t complain.
