CAUTION...Arrived with box previously opened and hot glued together, first picture. Second picture shows the booster pack had been cut open. Very disappointing.
The booster box came sealed and untampered with, I’ve attached pics of my pulls and I got lucky, pulled both Magicians’ Souls and Soul Servant, my booster box came from TopShelfGames&Hobbies as the seller and it was great, in the end it’ll all be luck based but atleast you know they didn’t take away your chances of pulling a holo.
My wife and I recently befriended a couple of fun people. We're still learning about each other's interests. One thing that we found in common was card games. We all love poker! It's been a few years since I played. I have some cheap plastic chips and some cards, somewhere. But, I've searched the house and can't find them. So, I needed a new set. Not wanting to get just another cheap set, I opted for the good stuff. I couldn't be happier than with this set from Comie. There are enough chips to handle any stakes and any reasonable number of players. Certainly, more than enough for four hands in a friendly game of 'penny ante'. They come in the standard denominations of 1, 5, 25 and 100. We'll probably leave out the 1's and go for nickels, quarters and dollars. But, if it's just for fun, we could do the full set and call it all DOLLARS! The chips are very well-made Vegas style, nice heavy and well-formed clay chips. They look, handle, feel and sound just like they do in Las Vegas. Just handling them makes you feel like you're at a gaming table at the casino! The two included decks of cards are top quality. Thick, professionally printed and with a nice textured plastic coating, they should last a long, long time. The set of five dice is okay. I'm not particularly fond of the rounded corners and edges on them. They cause the dice to roll longer than straight sharp ones do. I'm not sure what to do with the 'on the dealer' coin. It's well made, with enameling on one side and a nice gold color finish on the other. I've seen them in casinos but have never played a game where it was used. Good thing I bought a book of Hoyle's rules. The carrying / storage case is the finishing touch. It's ruggedly built and has nesting for everything, with egg crate type foam in the lid. The whole kit is very heavy, with all those clay chips. The case will hold up to lots of use. Good purchase.
They sneakily say “60 card deck” but one of the cards is a D&D ad. Not mad as quality of cards is a great deal and it’s a good simple starter deck but I recommend going to your local game stores and getting the right land cards individually as they don’t have very many lands in the deck for what you would need. The artistry I’d the cards is pretty good but some of the cards are uneven in the print. Theirs a decent amount of different creatures but few enchantments if any. Cards are pretty well made overall.
The brown cardboard box was taped like normal but the deck wasn't shrink wrapped like it should and the spacer was missing. I guess wotc is just reshaping open decks.
Luck box is probably a better choice for collection as only the rarity is guaranteed. There will be 12 Secret Rare and 30 UR alone with 5 promo UR in total. The contents are not stable. You can get good cards or duplicated cards. Quite thrilling an experience. Wish you good luck!
This is a cute game that comes in a nice cardboard box. The game itself is about 3 card decks in size. It's a nice conversation starter for family and friends. You can easily modify the questions to be more general. It can be left for a few hours or days and easily able to ump right back into the game. I do believe it is over-priced at nearly $30.
Wasn't packed very well, just 2 sheets of brown paper, and the box fell apart when I opened it. The tape held it together. I pulled hardly any merfolk related cards or many duplicates, very weird from someone who has played for 23 years... No Siren Stormtamer, Merfolk Branchwalker, Tishana's Wayfinder, Fiery Cannonade, Vicious Vampire, Opt, River Sneak, Tempest Caller, or any other notable Commons or Uncommons. I barely made my money back. Star rating is related to his it was shipped not the cards received. All the packs were from the same lot number, none resealed, very nice green spin down, and I love the Basic Land artwork in this set. I know cards are randomized. I usually not a Rare/Mythic hunter, I love Uncommons.
The product is very misleading. The description went out of it’s way to mention there are over 100 cards in this set. In actuality, you’re only getting one of the mini boxes which is one of FIVE that comes in a sealed box. I wasn’t about to pay $29.99 for three booster packs. I got a refund and I suggest you don’t buy from this seller.
This is a Bait and Switch scam. The picture is the more valuable “First Chapter”, then send you something else. I received “Into The Inklands”. If you look at the Product Specifications, the “color” listed is Azurite Sea. That’s worth significantly less than First Chapter. If you don’t care about what release you get, at least make your money count. This isn’t a good value for what you receive.
Box came in damaged
Wow, we got an amazing box. I know this is usually not the norm but my wife and I made money off this box. We pulled 2 Liliana the Last Hope, 1 Tamaiyo Field Researcher, 1 Brisela of the Broken Blade, 1 Bruna the Fading Light which the two cards meld to give you Brisela Voice of Nightmares! 2 Ishkanah Graftwidow, 2 Nahiri's Wrath, 1 Grim Flayer and some other cool rares. I am still in shock. The box arrived in perfect condition and we received it well before expected arrival date. Thank you!
Game play is a fun new level to magic the gathering. However Wotc severely dropped the ball on this game, and customer support was more sarcastic than helpfull. GAME IS NOT PLAYABLE RIGHT OUT OF BOX! It doesn't come with life counters. Also the deck boxes are just over 3x to large for the decks, Wotc customer support told me if I wanted the decks to fit in the deck boxes I would have to buy sleeves for the cards. The scout tokens are also the same size as the +1/+1 tokens along with being flat make it hard to move the scout. If they would have included 4 miniatures from there D&D game (they already have figures that would work for each scout) it would have NOT only solved this problem but have made gameplay easier!
Me gustó pero el color verde está incompleto
I've used Die Hard dice for years now and love their products. The quality here is as to be expected from Die Hard: it's hefty in your hand, satisfying to use and just looks great (unlike a lot of 3d printed options out there which work fine but always seem a little rough around the edges). The magnet is strong without affecting the ability to turn the dials and the design is crisp and well machined. My only complaint is that I ordered a white version and, when delivered, the life counter is actually the purple version with a white side to it. I would have preferred to have a solid color version to start out and then mix and match down the line if I decided to buy more for my table.
