I'll start out by saying this isn't meant to be a review of the game's mechanics or cover what a 4X game is. I'll also mention that I play a fair amount of tabletop games but this is the first 4X my gaming group has played. So, with that out of the way, here is what I thought of Northgard after having played a 3 player game. The components seem to be high quality. All of the cardboard map tiles and tokens are extra thick and seem like they will last many games without having problems with curling up on the sides. The artwork on the box and rules book is well done. The artwork on the cards is also well done but I would have liked to have seen more variety in artwork between the different factions. The included box insert / organizer is among the best that I've seen ship with a game and does a good job of keeping all the pieces organized and is not difficult to remove the pieces from. The game includes a ton of minis, some for the monsters and the majority being for the players. The minis all look nice and serve their purpose just fine but don't expect Games Workshop level of detail miniatures. The rule book is well written for the most part but it doesn't include an index which makes looking up a specific rule while playing a little cumbersome. So, did we enjoy it? Yes, yes we did! Everyone in my gaming group had a blast playing and at the end of the game everyone agreed that it would be a game we'd like to play again. I don't have any other 4X games to compare it to, but 4Xs have a reputation for being 'heavy' and being long drawn out games (I'm looking at you Twilight Imperium). Northgard was pretty easy for us to pick up and play and I think our game lasted about 2 hours, which I don't think is bad for a first play. My only major criticism of the game is its cost. At the time of writing this review it's selling for $90. The game does include a fair amount of minis, the components are high quality, and it does have a lot of replayability, but I still think it's a little on the expensive side for what's included in the box.

Booster box looked sus cause of outer package looking tampered with along with some of the packs, however I pulled a meat hook massacre from 1 so if that's there then box is not tampered with in my opinion.

Ordered a sealed Modern Masters 2017 booster box and paid pretty good money for it (339.95) and received a $20ish box of “Land Station” completely the wrong item and not sure if it was kidzgeek.coms fault or the individual retailer.

Each pack was opened and cards were removed and even the die was replaced with a cheap one. This was a birthday present for my son and it was completely ruined. Do not buy this product from kidzgeek.com.

It came in an envelope and in good shape. Other than a small thin scratch on the card (barely noticable) good buy

When I opened the box one of the packs was already opened and the cards were damaged. The other 3 packs where also re-sealed. Do not waste your money on this product!

If you tear a Japanese Pokémon card there will be a blue line. American Pokémon cards have a black line. Just make sure who you are buying them from. The store that I bought it from had a 100% good rating with over 1000 reviews. So look at the store’s reviews and not the product reviews. I hope this helps y’all.

The cards are damaged upon arrival. About half the deck has damage on each of the cards like they were stuck together and then ripped apart and the imaging stuck to each other but they were loose in the package so they weren’t stuck together but look like they were. Hard to play with only half a deck

1 star because sent to me with only one deck, other deck appears to be torn out of dual packaging.

  • The delivery box was intact with other items and this particular item was dented. I removed the plastic and noticed the dent and the chips inside were out of place while it was latched closed. If it fell or was thrown before being boxed cause the damage. I rearranged the chips properly and that helped the case to close properly but the outside is still dented.

At the time of ordering, it showed it was going to be almost 2 weeks shipping, but I received it 4 days later so good shipping. Package was nicely boxed, and I received the product in perfect condition. I was a little worried about the reviews about tampered packs, but they were all completely sealed when I received them and I got a couple of good pulls.

My original review was a 1 star since the box was empty on arrival. Later I was given replacement box. The artwork and print of the OCG Yu-Gi-Oh cards are incredible they cannot be play in TCG competitions but collectors and people that enjoy the Anime/Manga will love this box as contains cards from the Duel Monsters to Vrains.
