If anything, this is definitely a conversation starter when gaming. It is bigger than normal sized dice and heavier, but to pull out one die and set it on the table ready to go is pretty cool. It has 4 , 6 , 8 , 10, 12 and 20 sides options. Each side has a pointer so you can spin (like a fidget spinner) and see what the pointer ends up on. We have experimented with a few ways of using it. If you just spin it and wait, it will be a while and you will quickly become the least liked member of your party. You can touch your finger on it, but if it is on the line it is too easy to move it slightly in your favor. You can also tap it with your finger which will slow it down significantly and shorten the time. The design is beautiful and has great craftsmanship. The price is comparable to a good set. I don't know if we will continue using it in campaigns, but it is a nice conversation piece. Maybe as a DM to use and build anticipation for larger battles.
1st tin I ordered and I opened a REDD! This tin is $10 overpriced, but totally worth the gift card buy.
The aluminum case that comes with this set are so nice it is a shame that both sets I ordered were damaged. I ordered one set and then returned it after seeing the damaged case. The replacement set I received also had a damaged case. The damage on the second one was not as bad so I will keep it. Other than the damaged case, the set is nice and comes with the chips, dice, and two sets of cards.
So the outer box for the Planar Portal commander deck was in Portuguese, however all of the cards inside were still in English. Everything else was fine.
I was skeptical at first with there not being many reviews, but I do not regret this purchase in the slightest. We had the absolute best time playing this. Works like Cards against humanity except it’s all about books. Some spicy cards. Some perfectly written for obsessive book lovers. Best laughs and so much fun. A little pricey but worth it imo. Wish they had expansion packs
Rip off! Don't buy from this seller! The Duel Deck we received didn't include the creature tokens and the Speed Deck wasn't a deck at all. There was no manna. It included only 56 cards and they were numerous copies of the same 5 cards - not even the cards shown on the box. I have one very upset kiddo this Christmas morning. And the return date has just past so I can't return it to get another set from a different seller.
Got the game and contents are great and sealed, but take a look at this ruined box cover art. I'd you deliver it like that, then update the main image on kidzgeek.com listing to better reflect that
Arrived earlier than expected and I am so happy with the quality.
This is a high-quality deck of playing cards. It is made of plastic, is waterproof, and is reasonably priced. The cards are neither thick nor thin, shuffling them is effortless, and they feel great in my hand. The prints are certainly readable. I highly recommend this set.
There where so other things noticed but not worth the mention the messing with packs are really bad if something is done to fix this problem my review could change this arrived really quick and nicely packaged put the main attraction was temperd with
The version sent does not match the version advertised. Rather than the complete game with 1400 questions and equipment, the version sent is some sort of travel version with only 200 cards. The version I received retails for around $15-$20, much smaller and cheaper than the game in the description.
I pre-ordered this item and was very happy to get it earlier than the expected date. However I was not expecting the tin to not match the photo on the sellers site. I then contacted the seller to ask about the mismatch and he said it was the same and to check the upc number.
This product is supposed to have been tapu koko cards and figure I have literally already had it replaced and still was just sent cards with pin there is no tapu koko figure with it do not buy this product it's a false advertisement
As an street magician and something of a card handler, I've got a significant amount of experience when it comes to handling and manipulating cards. Advertised as being as practical for magic as they are for playing games, they are also touted as being good for cardistry, though in practice I found their versatility to be quite a bit more limited than their advertising implied. Despite this, I still like these cards, and they're great for specific situations. Pros: + Plastic construction makes them entirely waterproof, and the perfect cards to have at a bar, or a pool party, or anywhere the risk of spilling a drink exists. + The sparkly foil inner looks really nice in any lighting conditions, and both the black and silver decks look absolutely amazing. + Their build makes them very resilient, resisting damage normal cards would receive such as bends, nicks, etc. They also stay flat after countless bridge shuffles. + The acrylic storage case is a nice touch. Cons: - Not a standard full size deck, these are bridge size (note that the dimensions are provided up front however.) - The plastic makes them extremely slippery, and it is easy to lose your grip and have them sliding all over the table. That said, this does make them great for doing a waterfall flourish. - They've got a slip/stick nature to them, so doing a clean fan is nearly impossible. Overall, these are great party cards, or cards to have at a bar. They'll resist physical abuse damage, and they'll withstand having drinks spilled on them with no problem. They aren't good cards for magic however due to their either overly slippery or sticky nature, for example getting a good fan out of these is not happening, though their smaller bridge card size makes palming them easier. In the end however, they're absolutely gorgeous cards, and for a casual game in an environment generally not the best for cards, these will definitely excel.
Overall quality was as expected, size was a little smaller than I anticipated, and the QA seems to be pretty abysmal. Mine shipped with 2d12s instead of a d20, effectively making the set unusable! This was after waiting a week and a half for them to ship.
